Frances Tiafoe had an outstanding run at the recent US Open where he reached the semi-final. The American player was stopped the only by an amazing Carlos Alcaraz who defeated him in 5 tough sets.

Currently the world no.19 (career-high), Frances played his last match on the 9th of September when he capitulated to world no.1 Carlos Alcaraz 6-7(6) 6-3 6-1 6-7(5) 6-3 in the semifinal of the U.S. Open (draw).
