Alexander Zverev revealed how he discovered that he has a bone edema. He may probably be back to competitions only in 2023.

Zverev Talks About His Injury

Alexander Zverev was eager to come back to competition after suffering a horrible ankle injury in the French Open semi-final against Rafael Nadal. The German player was confident he had the opportunity to compete in the upcoming Davis Cup. Unfortunately, that will not happen after he uncovered he has bone edema.

During the press conference in Hamburg, Sascha disclosed that he might be out for the rest of the season. He commented:

“I have a bone edema issue, which causes me quite a lot of pain. I don’t know if it happened yesterday or not but yesterday in practice with Oscar it got to the point where I couldn’t run or walk anymore.

I subsequently found out that it was a bone edema, which means I won’t be able to participate here and it is not a question of days, it is more a question of weeks or most likely even months.
