The Argentine Federation has officially requested to the ITF to change the location for its Davis Cup tie against Israel for security concerns.
Arturo Grimaldi, the president of the Argentine Tennis Association, commented “We are concerned. We have communicated with the ITF, which promises to make a decision about Davis Cup by Friday,”
According to Grimaldi there are 2 opportunities: either the tie will be played in Argentina (“a distant possibility”) or they are going to play in a closer territory such as Greece or Cyprus.
Finally Grimaldi conceded that “We will wait till Friday and if they say the tie is in Tel Aviv, we will”
