
Aryna Sabalenka was having a fantastic match against the world number 1 Iga Swiatek in the US Open semi-final. The Belarusian player was leading 4-2 to in the deciding set before imploding and losing 4 consecutive games. Eventually, the Polish player won 3-6 6-1 6-4.
During the press conference that followed the semi-final, Aryna Sabalenka looked quite distressed. She attended the presser with a pair of sunglasses and a cap, constantly fighting tears.

LWWWWLWWWW Now the world no.6, Sabalenka played her last match on the 8th of September when she was overcome by world no.1 Iga Swiatek 3-6 6-1 6-4 in the semifinal of the U.S. Open (draw).
This year Sabalenka has an overall 29-18 win-loss record. Aryna Sabalenka’s best achievement of the current season was reaching the final in Stuttgart and Hertogenbosch.
Sabalenka is scheduled to play next in Tokyo (Toray Pan Pacific Open). She will start to play the tournament from the main draw on the 19th of September.
