Sam Stosur had a wonderful Australian summer, but.. that was over with the draw in Brisbane. After a plausable easy first match she may have to face Safarova (that defeated the Australian in 2009 also in the second round in Brisbaine), then either Clijster or Ivanovic in the quarters and if she can make it, she may play Serena Williams.
Ivanovic also understands that the draw is not really easy. It doesn’t get harder than that but it’s a good preparation,’ Ivanovic said.
‘It’s a good way to check where you’re at and if you want to get deep into a tournament you have to face them at some stage, so why not sooner!’
It loosk like more of a draw of a Slam… but.. that’s tennis and this is why we like it!
