Fognini again.
The Italian is one of the worst examples in tennis history about how to behave on a tennis court. In the recent past he has threatened umpires, he has insulted his own staff, he has showed the middle finger to the paying crowd, he has publicly quarreled with the media via Twitter (smart move) and of course he has destroyed countless rackets in the mean time.
Once again Fognini was at the centre of another despicable episode in Hamburg when he insulted his opponent calling him “shitty gypsy” (“Zingaro di Merda” in Italian).
The guy that received “the compliment” was Filip Krajinovic a 22-year-old from Serbia that is just devoting his life to become a better player. His fault was that he was dethroning “King Fabio” from Hamburg… and he did it with a sound 6-4 6-0.
After this episode Fognini apologized on Twitter saying that he didn’t want to offend anybody… well… you cannot offend a person and then say you didn’t mean to. It doesn’t really work.
Question
How long do we have to stand this? Players are suspended for doping, this stuff is as bad.
