There are bad news for the tennis fans as Novak Djokovic will not be able to play the US Open. Daniil Medvedev, Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will be the top players with probably the best chances to win the slam (according to the odds).
Why Djokovic cannot played US Open
The Serbian legend is not vaccinated and therefore he is not allowed to enter the United States and compete in the last slam of the year. According to reports, the CDC has confirmed that foreigners can enter the United States only if they are vaccinated. Therefore, Novak will be taken out of the entry list of the US Open and a lucky loser will get his place in the main draw. As a result, fellow Serbian player Mionmir Kecmanovic will be seeded number 32.
