Novak Djokovic plays a fantastic match in London to beat John Isner in straight sets.
The match
This was one of those days when Novak Djokovic is perfect. The Serb conceded more than 1 point on his serve only on 2 games to drop only 6 points on serve for the entire match.
Nole looked impressive from the very beginning after he had 2 consecutive holds at love while Isner had to fight hard to stay on serve. Eventually, the American was broken in his 3rd service game after he already faced 3 break points (3-2 for Djokovic). That was enough for the world no.1 to cruise and win the opener 6-4.
The American was much more solid in the first part of the 2nd set to drop only 2 points on 3 service games (well… Djokovic didn’t drop any!). Eventually, the “Serbinator” broke the American twice in a row to reverse a 2-3 deficit before winning 6-4 6-3 in 73 minutes.
Next vs. Zverev
Djokovic will face Sascha Zverev in his 2nd match. The head to head 1-all, with Nole demolishing Zverev in the recent Shanghai semifinal 6-2 6-1.
