Emma Raducanu and Serena Williams are going to play what is going to be the match of the day in Cincinnati on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Emma is thrilled by the opportunity of playing against Serena also because the American legend has recently announced that he will retire from professional tennis pretty soon.
During the press conference proceeding her match against Serena, Raducanu commented:
“I think that, for our careers to have crossed over, I think I’m really fortunate that I get to play her. Whatever happens, I think it’s gonna be a really good experience for me and something that I will remember for the rest of my life.
Expectations, I don’t really know, I don’t really care. I just want to go out there and, one, enjoy the match that I’m going to play whenever I do play it. It’s a great gift to play the best on her way out from the sport. So I’m just looking forward to that.”

Emma Raducanu in 2022
WWWWLWWLLW Ranked world no.13, Raducanu played her last match on the 9th of August when she surrendered to world no.65 Camila Giorgi 7-6(0) 6-2 in the 1st round in Toronto (draw).
At the moment, during this season Emma has achieved a 11-14 win-loss record.
Raducanu is scheduled to compete next in U.S. Open (U.S. Open). She will commence the tournament from the main draw on the 29th of August.
Serena Williams in 2022
Now ranked no.612, the American played her last match on the 10th of August when she was defeated by world no.11 Belinda Bencic 6-2 6-4 in the 2nd round in Toronto (draw).
At present, during this year Serena Williams owns an overall 1-2 record.
Serena Williams has scheduled to play next in U.S. Open (U.S. Open). She will start from the main draw on the 29th of August using a special ranking.
