Emma Raducanu is about to face Serena Williams in a tasty first-round match in Cincinnati. The British sensation will have to defend 2,000 points in a few weeks when she will play the US Open. Emma’s season so far has not been that smashing, however she is not scared about the points she may drop in New York.
During a recent press conference in Cincinnati. Emma commented:
“I just lost count how many times I’ve been asked this question. If I lose 2,000 points so be it, I’ll start again from the bottom. I know I can do something that no one else has done. I qualified and won the US Open, so I can start from the beginning, I can start from zero and I’m not afraid of that.”
“I just think that everything that’s happening right now has probably just meant to be in my journey and I need to go through those development stages at some point because I did miss them. I went from playing 25ks to winning the US Open,” she added.

LWWWWLWWLL Ranked world no.13, Emma played her last match on the 9th of August when she surrendered to world no.65 Camila Giorgi 7-6(0) 6-2 in the 1st round in Toronto (draw).
Currently, during this season Raducanu achieved a composed 11-14 match record.
Raducanu is scheduled to compete next in U.S. Open (U.S. Open). She will begin to play the tournament from the main draw on the 29th of August.

Currently the world no.612, Serena Williams played her last match on the 10th of August when she surrendered to world no.11 Belinda Bencic 6-2 6-4 in the 2nd round in Toronto (draw).
Currently, during this season Serena achieved a 1-2 record.
Serena Williams is scheduled to play next in U.S. Open (U.S. Open). She will commence the tournament from the main draw on the 29th of August using a special ranking.
