The Latvian defeated Schmiedlova in 3 sets in a match that had lots of ups and downs. “I feel really happy to win here because this tournament is a great event. I love here everything because I think it’s one of the best Grand Slams. The atmosphere is really nice. The people are really nice. Also the grass courts. That everyone is playing in white clothes I think it looks really nice.” Commented the youngster
Jelena was ranked world no. 484 before this week. Time now to try to compete in the WTA circuit.
