Qualifier Noha Rubin wins the Junior Wimbledon title

Wow… what a surprise!

Noha Rubin came out from nowhere to win the Junior title in Wimbledon.

The young American had to play the qualifications to win the final against his long time friend and seed no.6 Stefan Kozlov.

Noha was still astonished by his tournament to comment “It was almost surreal, but hopefully it will kick in in the next couple of days,”

Rubin is playing for the John McEnroe tennis academy in Long Island. The  American legend commented “He competed spectacularly. It’s awesome. All the time I’ve known him, it’s the best I’ve ever seen him. He was the complete package.”

This is the first all American final in Wimbledon since 1977. A good sign for a nation that is really struggling in delivering champions in the ATP circuit.
