Emma Raducanu is one of the most prominent figures in British tennis. However, the 2021 US Open champion was not born in the UK but in Canada and, most precisely in Toronto. Emma is currently in Toronto to play the local WTA1000 event. This is the first time she is back in Toronto. Raducanu said that she planned to visit the North York General Hospital, the place where she was born.
Emma has a Romanian father and a Chinese mother and they moved to the UK when Emma was 2.
