Novak Djokovic and Marin Cilic are going to clash for a place in the semifinal in Paris. The are scheduled to play on Friday at 7.30 pm.

Djokovic

Nole is having a fantastic moment. The Serbian sensation will regain the world no.1 spot at the beginning of the next week, and he is on a 19-matches winning streak. Nole also had a smooth run so far in Paris after he defeated Joao Sousa 7-5 6-1 and he spent just 53 minutes on court against Damir Dzumhur after his opponent withdrew on a 6-1 2-0 scoreline for Djokovic.

Cilic

Marin didn’t have a great stint before this event in Paris since he lost 4 of the previous 5 matches. However, the world no.7 seems to have found his tennis again in France where he defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber (6-3 6-4) and Grigor Dimitrov (7-6 (5) 6-4). Marin needs to beat Djokovic if he wants to be sure of being qualified for the ATP Finals.

H2H Novak Djokovic vs. Marin Cilic

Even if Djokovic has a strong 15-2 H2H record against Cilic, Marin has won 2 of their last encounters, and he has already defeated Djokovic in the quarters in Paris 2 years ago.

My favorite players are Federer and Nadal even if I am aware that they are at the end of their career. Following the like of Shapovalov, Tsitsipas, and Coric and on the WTA side I am intrigued by Naomi Osaka, Dayana Yastremska, Amanda Anisimova, and Olga Danilovic. I am always hopeful that Genie Bouchard will find her way back.
