Convincing Dimitrov sets up a great quarter against Murray

Grigor Dimitrov wins again in Wimbledon and now he is about to play against the top shots. The Bulgarian had no problems to dismiss a good Leonardo Mayer in straight sets playing once again a very solid tennis mixed with some special shots.

In the match against the Argentine Grigor has never conceded a service game to break Leonardo once in the very end of the first set and twice in the third. The match ended 6-4 7-6 (5) 6-2.

Some numbers

Dimitrov scored 23 points more than Mayer (109 vs 86). He went to the net 30 times to win 24 points (80%). Proabably the most important stat was Grigor’s breakpoint conversion rate (3 out of 5). The Bulgarian was spot on in defending all 3 break points conceded to Mayer. Match Stats
