Good start for Sascha Zverev in Paris that beats Frances Tiafoe in straight set in his opener.

The match

Sascha was opposed to Frances that was not enjoying a fantastic moment on tour after he lost 7 of the 9 matches before Paris. Still, the American put up a good fight, and the German won the first set only after he broke Tiafoe in the 10th game (6-4).

The second set was even more complicated as Sascha was also struggling to hold his serve. After leading 2-0, Zverev was broken twice to trail 3-4 (1 break down) before fighting back and conquer the last 3 games. The final score was 6-4 6-4 for Zverev.

The German will face either Feliciano Lopez or Diego Schwartzman for a place in the quarters.
