Emma Raducanu is still at the very beginning of her career and she is already a slam champion. The British sensation won the US Open in 2021. However, during a recent interaction with the students of the Wolwerley Secondary School, Emma admitted that she even contemplated quitting tennis during the pandemic.

When asked about if she has ever thought about quitting, she replied:

For sure, I’m not going to lie. I think in the pandemic it was pretty difficult because, you know, circumstances were very challenging and I wasn’t able to train. I didn’t train for eight months.

I’m just glad that I managed to kind of stay strong through that. And I think that I was definitely rewarded after COVID with some great results and achievements just because of the dedication. And sometimes you can sort of think of it as like, when you feel like you’re really low, then you can take a bit of comfort that something good is coming your way, because it doesn’t last forever.”

Emma is currently in the US where she will play the upcoming Citi Open before playing in Toronto, and Cicninnati.
