Naomi Osaka’s coach happy for 2018 and upbeat for 2019

Sascha Bajin is very happy for this season and he is looking forward for an even better 2019.

Sascha Bajin and Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka started this season ranked no.68 to surprise everyone after winning Indian Wells and the US Open. Currently ranked no.4, the Japanese sensation is now considered as one of the hottest prospects in tennis, and she has also landed an amazing $10million per year deal with Adidas.

Naomi impressed for not folding after conquering her first slam following her final in Tokyo and the semifinal in Beijing.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go so well for Naomi in Singapore during the WTA Finals where she was clearly affected by nerves in losing in 3 sets to Sloane Stephens and Angelique Kerber. Things got even worse in her last match when she had to withdraw because of a leg injury after being 3-6 down against Kiki Bertens. Unfortunately, Naomi left the court in tears.

What about her coach Sascha Bajin

Naomi’s coach Sascha Bajin was still very happy (and for a reason) by their season to comment on Tweeter

“I want to take the time and thank @Naomi_Osaka_ for an unbelievable season. Not the ending we were hoping for but couldn’t be more proud of her.

Thank you to my team for having my back and working like crazy to help this young lady achieve her dreams.

Thank you to the parents in trusting me with their daughter and raising a true champion.

Thank you to all the fans cheering us on and pushing us thru some hard moments. It wouldn’t have been the same without any of you.

From the bottom of my heart. I love you all and can’t wait for 2019!”

That’s a good way to end this season. World no.1 on the next one?
