Wimbledon junior champion Todd Reid dies at 34

The Australian passes away with the disbelief of he tennis world.

Todd Reid

Sad stuff for Todd Reid, the 2002 Wimbledon boy’s Champion, as the Australian passes away at only 34 years of age.

The Australian had a promising career ahead of him. At 18 years of age, he was the Aussie no.3 behind Lleyton Hewitt and Mark Philippoussis.

Todd Managed to reach a world no.104 career high and he had also the “luxury” to face Roger Federer in the 3rd round at the Australian Open (2004) when he lost in 3 sets. Unfortunately, he had to withdraw from tennis just 1 year after (2005) after a series of injuries and glandular fever.
