Naomi Osaka and her coach Wim Fissette part ways. Wim started coaching Naomi officially since 2020 and they won 2 slams together that year (Australian Open and US Open). However, it seems it became more and more difficult for the Belgian coach to partner with Naomi, who doesn’t play many tournaments.

Currently the world no.38, Naomi played her last match on the 23rd of May when she lost to world no.22 Amanda Anisimova 7-5 6-4 in the 1st round of the French Open (draw).
During this season the Japanese owns a 12-5 match record. Naomi Osaka’s best accomplishment of this year was reaching the final in Miami.
