Rafael Nadal has inaugurated his Academy back in 2016 with the presence of his friend Roger Federer.
Eventually, the Academy proved to be a success, and Rafa and his management team want to replicate the model also elsewhere in the world.
Rafa chose a very popular destination as his new branch will open up in a tourist complex in Mexico (Cancun). The new project will consist of eight tennis courts, one paddle court, and a gym.
Rafa commented: “It is our first expansion outside of Manacor, and for all of us and me it is a reason for satisfaction and pride.”
The world no.1 has been out from competitions since he had to withdraw from the semifinal at the US Open. Rafa is scheduled to get back to the tour next week in Bercy.
