It’s all confirmed: Naomi Osaka will join Maria Sakkari, Paula Badosa Gibert and Cori Gauff in the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic that will be played in San Jose from the 1st of August.
The former world number 1 was already on the entry list. However, she was among the so-called “alternates” and therefore, her participation was not sure.
As of now, now Naomi will not have direct access to the main draw. Therefore, it is plausible that the organization of the prestigious WTA500 will grant her a wild card unless she enters the main draw after a couple of defections.
