At just 23 years of age, Marketa Vondrousova decided to tie the knot with her boyfriend and fellow tennis player Stepan Simek. Market and Stefan were dating for at least 6 years and they announced the engagement last year, soon after she won the silver medal in Tokyo.

Now the world no.50, Vondrousova played her last match on the 19^th of April when she lost to world no.5 Ons Jabeur 4-6 6-2 6-3 in the 1^st round in Stuttgart (draw).
