David Ferrer should not be a happy man right now.
The Spaniard is sinking in the rankings (now no.7) and he was looking forward to recover some positions in Wimbledon. Unfortunately that might not happen as he has been struggling with flu for more than 10 days.
David had to retire from in ‘s-Hertogenbosch where he was seeded no.1 and he doesn’t know if he is able to compete in London ”I’m not sure if I can play at Wimbledon. I am going to talk with my doctor in Valencia tomorrow and see. It’s been 10 days now and that’s just too long for this problem.”
David has reached the quarters in last year’s Wimbledon losing in 5 sets to Richard Gasquet.
