It’s romance time!
Tennis has always abounded with love stories between players. Some can go right (Agassi and Graff), some can go wrong (Connors and Evert).
Now everybody is talking about the super- golden-couple Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov (see story), but there are some other great couples around.
We had a very emotional moment on court in ‘s-Hertogenbosch as double specialist Martin Emmrich proposes on-court to Michaella Krajicek.
The emotional talk
Martin kneed on court to say “I still remember the magical moment when I first saw you here last year. We’ve now been together for 10 months and every time I look into those beautiful Bambi eyes I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” After the famous “Do you want to marry me?” Michaella accepted hugging her future husband…. and the crowd cheered…
Better tan winning 10 tournaments in a row isn’t it? Super!
