During the press conference that followed her quarterfinal match against Ajla Tomljanovic, Elena was asked about her nationality, what she thinks about the ban and her wish for the war. Rybakina talked about how lucky she was to be helped by Kazakhstan. She also added that she feels for her Russian and Belarusian colleagues for not being able to play at SW19. Finally, she said that she wishes for the war to end as soon as possible.
