Nick Kyrgios defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas after a rather tense match. The Australian player used all his tactics and antics to frustrate and also bully the world number 5. At a certain point, Tsitsipas was so frustrated that he was just aiming at the body of his opponent during the match.
In the press conference that followed the encounter, Tsitsipas said that Kyrgios was a bully with a very evil side. When asked to comment on Stefanos’ remarks, Kyrgios commented:
“He’s that soft, to come in here and say I bullied him. That’s just soft. If he was affected by that today, then that’s what’s holding him back. To come in here and say I bullied him and stuff, that’s just soft. We’re not cut from the same cloth”
He added: “I don’t know what he’s talking about. The circus was all him. He’s got some serious issues.”
