
Roberto Bautista Agut is the last casualty in this Wimbledon caused by Covid-19. The Spanish player had to withdraw after being found positive after Matteo Berrettini and Marin Cilic. Roberto was meant to play against Daniel Elahi Galan, who accesses the 3rd round without playing. He will wait for the winner of the match that will be played between Denis Shapovalov and Brandon Nakashima.
Roberto released the following statement:
“Sadly today I have notified the organization of #Wimbledon of my withdrawal from the competition. Yesterday I started not feeling very well and I tested positive for Covid-19. Symptoms are not very serious, but I think this is the best decision. Thank you all for your support always. I hope to be back on court soon.”
