Dimitrov: I want to win Wimbledon and that is possible!

Grigor Dimitrov is definitely an ambitious guy!

The Bulgarian says explicitly that he wants to win Wimbledon and at the end of the day this is what you expect from a guy whose nickname is Baby Federer.

During a recent interview Grigor said  “I’d say my goal is to become a member at Wimbledon the easiest way possible. That is to win seven matches. I do believe that’s possible.”

Dimitrov is now competing at the Aegon Championship where he is testing his preparation on grass. The Bulgarian has now advanced to the quarters  where he is going to face Dolgopolov. “I have been here quite a few days already and been playing a good practice season on the grass, been working a lot in the gym. I think at the moment it is really a good time for me to just compete.

The grass; I think that’s a really good test. From my point of view, it’s a good one for me mentally and physically to see where we are at the moment and what we have to work on.”

In a couple of weeks we will see if Grigor can follow the footsteps of his idol Roger Federer. He was already the Junior Champion in Wimbledon, can he do it among the grown-ups?
