Dayana Yastremska is a WTA champion!
The Ukrainian wins her first career title in Hong Kong after conceding no sets on the way. Dayana was perfect in the final against a tired Qiang Wang to drop just 3 games and win 6-2 6-1.
Besides a little “drama” in the final game when Yastremska couldn’t convert 3 match points, the match was one-way traffic.
After this week the Ukrainian is projected to be ranked no.66 and that is definitely no bad for an 18-year-old.
More to come.
