Rafael Nadal and Matteo Berrettini had the fantastic opportunity of training on the Wimbledon Centre Court to make history. As of now, players were not allowed to practice on Center Court before the start of the tournament to keep the pristine appearance of its lawn.
However, that created some serious issues for the top tennis players who were competing in the first rounds because the court was too slippery, especially on the baseline. Last year, Serena Williams got injured in her opening match in Wimbledon after falling down because of the slippery conditions.
Players have been granted the opportunity to practicecenterntre court in order to make the condition a bit less slippery, especially on the baseline, after the use of it.
This is the video of Nadal and Berrettini training.
