ATP Rankings. Nadal still no.1, Murray back to 5, Gulbis in top10

We have some interesting changes in the rankings this week.

Nadal

Rafa managed to keep is world no.1 spot after defeating Djokovic in the final in Paris. Now the Serbian is just 170pts shy from Nadal, but he has to defend lots of points in Wimbledon (he was the last year’s runner up) while Rafa doesn’t have to defend any (last year he crashed out in the first round in Wimbledon).

Murray

Reaching the semifinal in Paris helped Murray to gain 3 positions and be ranked world no.5. The Scott is just 105pts from Federer

Gulbis

Mad Max Gulbis keeps his bid. Ernests is the first Latvian in tennis history to break in the top 10. Gulbis achieved this feat after reaching the semifinal in Paris. He climbed 7 positions to be ranked no.10.

Ferrer

David keeps on going down. The Spaniard wasn’t able to defend the points gained in last year’s final in Paris. This year David had a bad draw to play Rafa in the quarters to finally lose 2 positions and being ranked no.7

Anderson

The South African climbed 2 positions to achieve a career high world no.18.
