Serena Williams decided it to be back to competitions in Wimbledon after being out for one year. The American sensation decided to play only doubles in Eastbourne alongside Ons Jabeur to get a bit more practice on grass.
Ons has just won the ATP tournament in Berlin, and she decided not to play in singles in Eastbourne to avoid risking any injury. Nevertheless, the Tunisian player could not miss the chance of partnering with Serena Williams. Therefore, Jabeur decided to still travel to Eastbourne to play with the American sensation.
