A great Tsitsipas beats Khachanov to face Anderson in the 3rd round in Shanghai

Stefanos Tsitsipas wins a tough match against the world no. 27 Karen Khachanov.

The match

Stefanos was broken as early as in the 3^rd game to later trail 2-4. The Greek managed to stay with his opponent to then win 5 consecutive games and lead 6-4 1-0. However, Karen regrouped and he held his serve for the entire 2nd set to send the affair to the breaker. The Russian didn’t manage to convert 3 set points (2 when leading 6-4) and it was Tsitsipas to wrap up the match after winning his second match point. The final score was 6-4 7-6 (8).
