Daniil Medvedev had a rather bad day in Halle where he lost the final after scoring just 5 games against Hubert Hurkacz. Unfortunately, once again, the world number 1 failed to contain his frustration during a match. It has happened a lot in the past, that Medvedev started yelling at his coach Gilles Cervara when things were going wrong.
Gilles in the past “kept his position.” However, this time he decided he had enough to storm out of the stadium after being abused in the second set.
During the ceremony, Daniil Medvedev apologized to his wife who was sitting besides Gilles.

of June when he capitulated to world no.12 Hubert Hurkacz 6-1 6-4 in the final in Halle (draw).This season Daniil achieved a 26-9 win-loss record. Daniil Medvedev’s best result of the year was reaching the final at the Australian Open and Hertogenbosch.
