The Swiss is the seed no.1 in China, and he is starting his run from the 2nd round as he had a bye to skip the first round.

Daniil won a fantastic title in Tokyo last week coming straight from the qualifications playing outstanding tennis. The Russian has already won the first round in Shanghai 3-6 7-6 (7) 6-4 against Ze Zhang.
