Alcaraz and winning Wimbledon

Carlito has limited experience with playing on grass. Nevertheless, the upcoming Spanish player believes that he can win Wimbledon.

As reported by EFE news agency, when asked if he can win Wimbledon, Alcaraz replied: “Of course I see it possible. In the end, it’s the dream I’m looking for. It’s what I work for every day.”

During the interview, Carlito also mentioned the famous Wimbledon final in 2008 when Rafa Nadal won a fantastic match against the great Roger Federer.

“Everyone remembers the 2008 final between Nadal and Federer, that was a spectacular final and considered one of the best matches in history. Rafa has won historic matches several times at Wimbledon several times…and you say to yourself ‘I wish I could be there playing this type of match’.”

The injury

Carlito decided not to play any warm-up tournament before Wimbledon since he has been struggling with a light elbow injury. Nevertheless, he is expected to be fully fit for The Championships.
