Nadal mauls Lajovic to set up a great quarter against Ferrer

Rafael Nadal was far too much for Dusan Lajovic!

The world no.1 destroyed the young Serbian 6-1 6-2 6-1 (ouch!!!). Dusan was never in the match to concede a 4-0 lead to Nadal in every single set.

Now Rafa will have to play David Ferrer in the quarters. Even if Rafa has an excellent 21-6 win/loss record against David, both know that Ferrer has a shot at Nadal. David has recently beaten Nadal in straight sets in Monte-Carlo, and he has won 2 of the last three matches against the Mallorcan. So beating Nadal is not anymore a distant dream.

Ferrer on the match

David commented “I will try to do my best. I will try to play aggressively with my forehand and try to finish the points at the net. But of course, it’s going to be difficult with Rafael on a clay court.”

Rafa is still the favorite, but he David put pressure on him he will definitely have a good chance.
