It has been a delightful week for Taylor Townsend. Her march did finish a bit abruptly, but reaching the 3rd round in the first major she has ever played was still a great achievement.
The 18 years-old has delighted all of us during her match against Alize Cornet. Despite her unusual body type (that makes her even more interesting), the American has showed us her immense talent.
The match against Suarez Navarro was one way traffic. The Spaniard got a speedy 4-0 lead in the opener to win 6-2. In the second set Taylor offered some more resistance at the beginning, but she collapsed after leading 2-1 to lose 5 consecutive games. Match Stats
