‘Major surgery,’ Nadal talks about his upcoming treatment and dreadful alternative to fix his foot injury

Nadal talks about what he is going to do to stay fit for compaetitions. Surgery is plausible.

Nadal About His Injury

On Sunday in Paris, Rafael Nadal won his 14th French Open and 22nd Slam after demolishing Casper Ruud in the final with a straightforward 6-3 6-3 6-0.

Nevertheless, Rafa had to play with a horrible left foot injury. He was able to compete only thanks to some injections that went straight to the nerve in his foot.

However, Rafa said that he doesn’t want to compete anymore if he needs to have injections in his foot and he is trying to find solutions.

Nadal commented:

“We can try to make a treatment to try create this feeling in a permanent condition. That’s we are planning to do next week. I don’t know the name of the treatment in English. The idea is to create the impact I have now on the nerve for a long period of time.

If it doesn’t work, it will be another story. I’ll have to ask myself if I’m ready for a major surgery that would help me to play again.”
