Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev will not be allowed to play because of the controversial ban of players from Russia and Belorussia.
Rafael Nadal has just announced that he will take a break after the French Open so as to skip Wimbledon again. Sascha Zverev succumbed to a nasty ankle injury during the French Open semifinal and unfortunately it seems that he will be out for a long time.

As of now, according to the live rankings, Djokovic, Tsitsipas, Ruud and Alcaraz will be the top-ranked players at the Championships. Usually, the seeds in Wimbledon do not follow the official rankings. However, as per the live rankings, there is a big gap in terms of points between the above players and the rest of the pack. We are waiting for the seeds to be announced.
Novak Djokovic in 2022
At the moment ranked no.1, Novak played his last match on the 31st of May when he capitulated to world no.5 Rafael Nadal 6-2 4-6 6-2 7-6(4) in the quarter in French Open (draw).

Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2022
Ranked no.4, Stefanos played his last match on the 30th of May when he lost to world no.40 Holger Vitus Nodskov Rune 7-5 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the 4th round in French Open (draw).
Until now, during this year Stefanos has an overall 34-11 win-loss record. The Greek conquered 1 title in Monte-Carlo. Stefanos reached the final in Rotterdam and in Rome.
