Nadal, Zverev set to miss Wimbledon like Medvedev and Rublev

Wimbledon will miss the presence of many top10 players such as Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.

Rafael Nadal And Sascha Zverev

Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev seem to be set to skip Wimbledon, just like Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.

Daniil and Andrey will not be allowed to play in the Championships because of the controversial ban against Russian and Belorussian players. During the press conference that followed Nadal’s French Open semifinal on Friday the King of Clay announced that he would stop for some time after the Roland Garros making it clear that he will not play in SW19.

Zverev’s injury

Unfortunately, Sascha had to retire from his semifinal against Nadal in Paris after he badly rolled his ankle. The German player left the court in tears and in a wheelchair. Later he posted a video confirming that his injury looks very serious. Sascha didn’t give any specific date for his comeback, but unfortunately, it seems he will be out for a long time.

Wimbledon will commence on the 27th of June.
