This was how long it took for Rory McIlroy to end up such an important relationship with Caroline Wozniacki. According to a report by Neil Harman of The Times of London the telephone call from Rory was something out of this world and Caroline was damn sure he was kidding:
“Caroline Wozniacki played tennis in a lovely old arena at Roland Garros yesterday but would rather have been in Belfast, asking Rory McIlroy to his face why he left her this way. Except that the last time he called, less than a day after telling her how much he loved her, it was a three-minute conversation she thought was a joke.”
No wonder why Caroline said that “It came as a bit of a shock”. This is definitely an understatement.
