Serena Williams is trying to move on from the horrible experience she had during the US Open final (full story).

However, this is the last memory that the former world no.1 left as of now to the tennis world and therefore it is understandable that interviewers keep on asking about what happened.

I don’t understand what he was talking about. SERENA WILLIAMS

All the confusion of that evening at the Flushing Meadows started when the chair umpire warned Serena Williams for coaching. While the American strongly denied any wrongdoing, Patrick Mouratoglou admitted he was coaching.

Speaking to The Sunday Project on Australia’s Network Ten, the American commented

“I just don’t understand what he was talking about.  I asked him ‘what are you talking about you were coaching? We don’t have signals, we’ve never had signals‘.

He said he made a motion. So, I was like ‘you made a motion and now you told people that you’re coaching me – that doesn’t make sense, why would you say that?’

I was on the other side. I didn’t see the motion. It was just a really confusing moment, I think, for him.

What I’m trying to do most of all is to recover from that and move on.”

Serena has decided to skip the last part of the season to prepare for a better 2019.
