This is not a good year for Caroline Wozniacki.
Everything started on a very high note after her boyfriend Rory McIlroy proposed in Sydney during the New Year ’s Eve. Then things went from bad to worse.
From a professional point of view, Caroline wasn’t able to go beyond the semis in every tournament to now be ranked world no.14. From a personal point of view things were going fine. A couple of weeks ago she was discussing with Rory about the details of their wedding, they sent the invitations and… that was over!!! See Article
Rory called it off and now Caroline is trying to re-group, but that is not easy especially when the entire world knows what happened.
In Paris Caroline crashed out in the first round against world no. 64 Yanina Wickmayer in 3 sets (7-6 (5) 4-6 6-2), but apparently that is not bothering Caroline much.
Caroline: I want to keep my personal life with my closest people
The former world no.1 commented “What happens in my personal life, I just want to really keep that between my closest people around me. I just have to move on.
I want to prepare for Wimbledon, which is a big tournament and a better surface for me.”
She is right… time to move on.
