This is not a good year for Caroline Wozniacki.
Everything started on a very high note after her boyfriend Rory McIlroy proposed in Sydney during the New Year ’s Eve. Then things went from bad to worse.
From a professional point of view, Caroline wasn’t able to go beyond the semis in every tournament to now be ranked world no.14. From a personal point of view things were going fine. Rory called it off and now Caroline is trying to re-group, but that is not easy especially when the entire world knows what happened.
In Paris Caroline crashed out in the first round against world no. 64 Yanina Wickmayer in 3 sets (7-6 (5) 4-6 6-2), but apparently that is not bothering Caroline much.
Caroline: I want to keep my personal life with my closest people
The former world no.1 commented “What happens in my personal life, I just want to really keep that between my closest people around me. I just have to move on.
I want to prepare for Wimbledon, which is a big tournament and a better surface for me.”
She is right… time to move on.
