Rafael Nadal coach explains what’s going on.

Rafael Nadal is currently taking care of his right knee that has forced him to withdraw in the semifinal of the US Open against Juan Martin Del Potro. The world no.1 has decided to skip the Asian swing to try to recover his condition and it wasn’t clear when the King of Clay was planning to come back.

Rafa’s coach, Carlos Moya, seems to be not so worried by Nadal’s condition to reveal

“Rafa is fine. He’s recovering and currently working in the gym. He’ll be back on tennis court next week. We’re not in a hurry, we’d rather go step by step.

Rafa’s knee will set the time to come back and we’re not going to do anything crazy.

If everything goes well he will be back in Paris-Bercy, otherwise, it will be in London or the next season. London is a priority, but an even higher priority is taking care of his body and trying to win more Grand Slams in 2019.”
