Bad news from Simona Halep, very bad news.
The Romanian was struggling with her back injury in Wuhan when she still decided to compete against Dominika Cibulkova. Eventually, Simona lost that match, but she appeared more positive in Beijing.
Unfortunately, things went even worse for the world no.1 that had to withdraw after she lost the first set 6-1 against the world no. 113 Ons Jabeur.
Now I am worried. HALEP
Simona looked in complete distress during the following press conference to comment
“I was motivated. I was ready to push myself to finish this year stronger than last year. There is pain, I couldn’t move properly. I’m very worried now.”
The world no.1 is still scheduled to play in Moscow on the 15th of October.
