Aryna Sabalenka reaches the final in Wuhan after beating an in-form Ashleigh Barty.
The world no.20 had to work extremely hard in the semifinal against Barty that was using her variations break the rhythm of the Belarussian. However, Aryna found her range later in the 1st set to finally impose her superior rhythm.
The crucial moment of the match against the Australian was when Aryna broke her opponent in the 10th game of the 1st set when Barty was trying to serve out the set (5-4). That was enough for Sabalenka to win the set at the following breaker.
Sabalenka was extremely sharp at the very beginning of the second set when she conquered the decisive break in the 1st game. Later Aryna had to go through a couple of tough holds before winning the match 7-6 (2) 6-4.

The final vs. Kontaveit
Aryna will face the world no.27 Anett Kontaveit in the final. They have never played so far, but Sabalenka seems to be the favorite to win the title.
