Andy Murray says he has chosen the new coach. Is he McEnroe?

It’s almost done!

Andy Murray has now disclosed that he has chosen the new coach and they are now defining the details of the contract. The name will be announced not before the end of the Roland Garros.

There are speculations that the new coach will be McEnroe and that would be something tasty as BigMac would definitely try to “beat” the results Andy achieved with his rival Ivan Lendl.

Murray: I have chosen, but it is not done yet

Andy told BBC Sport “I have an idea of exactly what I want. I’ve thought about it a lot, I’ve spoken to them and I’ll see. It’s not like you chat to the person and the next day it’s done

You have to get a contract in place and there’s always a few little complications in that respect, but as long as the desire from both people is to work together then hopefully it can happen fairly soon.

There’s always a bit of detail and stuff that needs to get worked out, slightly more in depth discussion about things but hopefully nothing will happen in the next couple of weeks because I’ll still be here, but maybe just after.”

Murray will start his campaign in Paris against Andrey Golubev.
