Gael Monfils didn’t seem to take the tournament in Nice very seriously. The world no.24 posted an idiotic video just before playing the super-tiebreak in doubles with Benoit Paire and now he pulls out from the tournament.
The Frenchman was seeded no.3 in singles but he retired citing an injury to his ankle. Apparently the Frenchman had some pain after playing the doubles against Benoit Paire.
Gael was replaced by Lucky Loser Sam Querrey that has lost the match against Montanes 4-6 6-3 6-2
We are sure that the organization in Nice was not very happy by all of this…
